The Bible Society

The Bible Society exists to help millions of people around the world access the Bible in a language they can understand, in a form they can use or at a price they can afford. 

 

Protected Home for Children, Bodrog

This is a community of Christian families in Hungary who foster abandoned or troubled children alongside their own.

 

Bridge Trust

The Bridge Trust has been supporting single homeless people in West Kent since 1991.

 

Burrswood

A Christian hospital and place of healing near Tunbridge Wells where lives are transformed through a fresh encounter with the love of God. Richard Diggory a member of St Mark's is Chairman of Trustees and Martin Granger one of our Readers is a volunteer member of the Chaplaincy Team.

Children's Society

A leading children's charity committed to making childhood better for all children in the UK by taking action to prevent, rescue and support children facing life trapped in a vicious circle of fear and harm.

 

Church Mission Society

Formed in 1799, CMS is a community of people in mission working in over 50 countries – a community that has heard God’s call to join in his loving outreach to the world and serve others in mission.

Church Army

An organisation that shares the Christian faith through words and action to transform lives by making Jesus famous.  Focuses on the 7 out of 10 people who have little or no meaningful contact with church.

 

Christians Together in Tunbridge Wells 

An organisation which aims to promote Christian Churches and church groups of all denominations in the Tunbridge Wells area.

Crossways Community

A Christian Charity founded in 1967 caring for people with mental health difficulties.  It has three houses in the Tunbridge Wells area.

Gideons

The Gideons work to share God’s message of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ by personal witness and by placing Bibles and New Testaments into people’s hands.

Number One Community Centre

 

The Number One Community Centre has served the Showfields area of our parish since 1991.  

Rochester Cathedral

England's second oldest Cathedral - and the cathedral of our diocese - with a community worshipping continually on the site for over 1400 years.

 

St Mark's School, Tunbridge Wells 

Our parish school, founded in 1872, with whom the church liaises regularly, leading weekly assemblies and hosting annual school services at Easter and Christmas.

 

 

Servants to Asia's Urban Poor

A network of teams living in urban poor communities and slums, participating with neighbours to bring hope and justice through Jesus Christ.

 

Tower Hamlets Mission

Established in 1870, Tower Hamlets Mission runs a three stage residential drug and alcohol service for men who are suffering from addiction.

Tearfund

Tearfund is a leading relief and development charity, working in partnership with Christian agencies and churches worldwide to tackle the causes and effects of poverty.

Street Pastors   Tunbridge Wells has a team of Street and Prayer Pastors drawn from 23 local churches. They are out in the town on a Friday night and some Saturdays from10.00pm - 4.00pm offering a friendly ear. The prayer team meets at the same time.
