Prayer

Prayer is one of the greatest gifts that God gives to us, and one of the greatest privileges too.
Why not come to the Chapel before or after a service and spend some quiet moments with God, perhaps by lighting a candle for a particular need.
Other regular prayer opportunies include Evening Prayer at 5.00pm in the Chapel on a Wednesday and Morning Prayer at 8.30am on a Tuesday and Thursday. Please also remember that the church is open for quiet prayer every morning.
We also have a variety of 'one off' prayer opportunities each month. For more details please click here.
Prayer Box and Book of Names
There is a new Prayer Box in the Chapel where requests for prayer may be left. If you would like to have regular and ongoing prayer for yourself or someone else please request that their name be recorded in the Book of Names which is kept on the Altar Table in the Chapel. The names will be listed in the book and will be prayed for on a regular basis.
Request slips and pens are kept by the box.
Prayer Cycle
The St Mark's Prayer Cycle provides a pattern to help us in our prayers. Details can be found on our weekly news sheet or you can download a copy by clicking here. Through it we can bring to God (a) our parish and the lives of all who live and work there, (b) the “establishments” within our parish, (c) some of the Christian organisations with which we have links, and (d) many of those in our church family.
You may want to use it when praying by yourself, or in a housegroup or other group. We trust that as God brings blessings through your faithful prayers, you will receive blessing yourself too.
E Prayer group
E mail is a fast way of getting prayer needs out to people - would you like to be part of the new E Prayer Group we are setting up at St Mark's? Coming together to pray is not always possible and we hope this will be another way of developing our life of prayer at St Mark's.
To find out moore or to join the group please click here.
We meet on a Saturday morning at 8.00am to share a light breakfast and then pray for the work of one of our PCC Teams and another 'Church Group'. We know that people prefer to pray in different ways so we have a mix of spoken, silent, and creative prayer opportunities. We finish promptly at 9.15am.
Or next Prayer breakfast is on Saturday 19th May when we will focus on our support of mission agencies both at home and abroad.
To book your place please click here.

We meet regularly to pray at the school for the needs of the school. Please click on the link for details of our next meeting.
